Karlee is originally from North Alabama and has a passion for rural mental health. Karlee is a graduate of Auburn University's Clinical Mental Health Counseling Master's program. Karlee has experience in the counseling field dating back to her undergraduate years of college working as a victim advocate with Rape Counselors of East Alabama. During this time, she was also a research assistant in several psychology research labs and has presented her work at two national conferences- one in Salt Lake City, UT and the other in New Orleans, LA- as well as at one research symposium in Auburn, AL. During her master's program, Karlee completed an internship with East Alabama Medical Center (EAMC)'s Inpatient Psychiatry department, where she provided counseling services to adults, adolescents, and children with severe mental illness.

 

Karlee strives to create a counseling space in which you feel heard, valued, and accepted, but where you are also encouraged to grow. No matter what brings you to counseling, she is here for you. She is dedicated to providing culturally responsive, holistic, and evidence-based care. Karlee's clinical interests are trauma, LGBTQIA+ issues, disability/chronic illness, and neurodiversity (e.g. ADHD, Autism). She sees individuals age sixteen and up.

 

Karlee is a proud cat, snake, and plant mom. Outside of the counseling room, she enjoys reading, doing yoga, taking nature walks, traveling, and spending time with her partner and their animals.
